Joel is the eldest of four kids born to Rev. Noel and Thelma Gay. His father planted the Indian Trail Village Open Bible Church and was the Senior Pastor from 1963 through 1984 in Trinidad and Tobago. Joel graduated from The University of Houston with a bachelor's degree in Architecture in the year 1994. He spent over 20 designing hospitals and schools.

Early in the year 2019, Joel was approached by the leader of a men’s bible study group he attends to take over the study of the book of Revelation. "We took our time studying the book, and by February 2020, it was brought to my attention that at the beginning of this study, a few of the guys were apprehensive about studying the book of Revelation and wanted to study another book of the bible. However, at the end of the study, they expressed to me how happy and thankful they were that I took my time to show them that this book of prophecy is not scary but was meant to prepare them spiritually. I was successful with the help of the Holy Spirit to show them God’s love and complete control throughout the entire book. Revelation is meant to prepare the church, not to scare it."

Since then, Joel has been invited to present the book of Revelation via zoom to many groups including family members and people from other countries including Trinidad, Barbados, Canada, USA, Hawaii and England. 

As such, the Lord has tasked him with preparing His people for “spiritual preparedness” concerning His soon return.

On Saturday June 17th, 2023, Joel was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Divinity from The Bible Believers College and Seminary in Los Angeles, California USA.

Dr Gay would love the opportunity to share the book of Revelation with you and reveal how the seven Jewish feasts and an ancient Jewish wedding, along with current global events relate to this book of prophecy.
